CNTRL – A COLLEGE CAMPUS TOUR with Richie Hawtin, Ean Golden and more

The 2nd edition of the CNTRL College Tour span over eight North American cities in 11 days, each with a college lecture during the day and a DJ club show at night. Plus an additional demo area at the colleges for our brand partners to exhibit their products. The tour consisted of two tour busses and a total touring party of up to 22 persons, including brand partners from Point Blank, Native Instruments, Pioneer, Roland and others, our technical production crew, a photographer, a videographer and a changing cast of artists. After coordinating and advancing the first tour on my own here I had help from my team at the booking agency (logistics manager, logistics assistant, production manager) for the advancing process. Further I handled the US work visa application for the whole team.

As tour manager I coordinated everything and everyone on ground and ensured that things ran smoothly. In the case of a problem, a solution had to be found and decisions made. I also looked after the tour budget.

CNTRL – BEYOND EDM TOUR with Richie Hawtin, Loco Dice, Ean Golden and more

The 1st CNTRL College Tour span over 17 North American cities in 20 days, each with a college lecture during the day and a DJ club show at night (a total of 34 events). The tour consisted of two touring busses and a crew of 19 people including an on-board social media manager, a journalist, technicians, a film crew, as well as a changing cast of artists. My responsibilities included the preparation of all 34 events in cooperation with the booking agencies, DubSpot (the partner in education), the local promoters and our team. I was in charge of flight and hotel bookings for all artists and crew, planning of the bus route including parking & accommodation, equipment logistics, customs paperwork (Carnet ATA), coordination of requirements with the local event promoters, restaurant reservations for 20+ people and more.

As tour manager it was my job to coordinate everything and everyone on ground and to ensure that things ran smoothly and as planned during the advance process. In the case of a problem, a solution had to be found and decisions made. In addition I also set up and administered the tour budget.

For the European Skrillex Tour Nov to Dec 2011 I was brought on board to coordinate a tour of 16 shows across Europe in venues of 700 to 5,000 people (all dates sold out). Within the four weeks until tour start, it was my main task to figure out how their new live show could be realized within the confirmed venues, coordinate logistics, communicate all data between the different involved parties and put together a tour Itinerary with all information such as venue, local contact, team members, flights, hotels, parking and loading situations, shower facilities, catering, setup & dismantling, sound check, show, travel times etc. The tour ran successfully and without any problems.

As Project Coordinator and Tour Manager of the ground breaking Plastikman Live Tour I looked after a crew of 10 to 15 persons with a 70 min. performance at large-scale events all over the world. Together with the artist’s booking agency and the local promoters, I planned and organized the Plastikman shows including setup and sound check, looked after equipment logistics, arranged necessary paperwork (visas, Carnet ATA, customs papers) and made sure everyone was at the right place at the right time.

As Project Manager I was also in charge to arrange technical meetings, order equipment, kept a cost overview, updated the website, and worked closely with all departments so that the project flowed as smooth as possible.
