After producing the APPLAUS as a hybrid event last year, we were thrilled to bring the award show back to a live venue with 400 invited guests. This year’s production took place at Zughafen Kulturbahnhof in Erfurt, and was once again hosted by the charming Julia Menger.

Initiative Musik entrusted our team with the creative concept, website design, technical realisation, stage design and the on-site production of the award show. I was once again hired as Show Director, coordinating the run of show.

APPLAUS stands for Award for Programming by Independent Venues. The APPLAUS award is realised by the Initiative Musik with project funds from the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media. It is one of the most highly endowed federal cultural prizes in Germany and has been awarded annually since 2013.
